Debra Moffitt is an author and teacher who leads workshops on writing, creativity, and spirituality, in the United States and worldwide. She is a faculty member of the Sophia Institute and the Esalen Institute, and her writings have appeared in publications around the world. She is the author of the award-winning book, Awake in the World, Garden of Bliss, and Riviera Stories. Her blogs appear on Beliefnet.com and Mallika Chopra's Intentblog.com. Debra worked in international business until she felt a deeper calling to write. She speaks and writes in English, French, and Italian.
Her articles, essays and stories appear in publications around the globe and were broadcast by BBC World Services Radio. Debra’s work features regularly on Beliefnet.com, a US-based website on spirituality that estimates four million visitors a month, and her online workshops are available via DailyOm.com. Her first book, Awake in the World, received recognition on Martha Stewart’s Whole Living and also on the GMA/ABC News site. It was also acquired by publishers in Mexico, China and India.
